This week has gone well for Cheryl. Her energy level has been excellent and she continues to be in good spirits. She was feeling good enough that I was able to make a quick run over to Thomasville,GA Friday evening after work to check on my parents. While I was gone, she did several loads of laundry and started getting the house ready for Thanksgiving. Last evening, I brought down the Rubbermaid containers that hold our fall decorations. This morning, she was able to get the kitchen and den decorated.
She also enjoyed an early morning visit from Trish Nebel(Michelle's mother-in-law)and several of her friends from church. We are thankful for them taking the time to drop by and for their continued prayers for Cheryl's recovery.
We did Cheryl's PleurX drain this afternoon and removed 60cc of fluid. This is an increase from the last two times we've done the procedure, so it looks like she may have to put up with the left drain a little longer.
Mid-week, Cheryl will go in for her Coumadine check, CA125 and a CBC (Complete Blood Count). Then on Friday, she has her next appointment with Dr. Burke,her oncologist. Our prayer is that her CA125 will continue to drop and that the CBC will stay within normal values so her chemotherapy can continue Monday week.

Well supposed to get the furnace put in this week (oh the furnace conked out in case the guys didn't tell you or maybe I told you?)it will be nice not to have to use space heaters anymore. Then the roof finally got done so now I have 2 different guys that might do the painting of those bare wood spots way up high. Just have to find the time with the days being shorter and stuff. Then that is all I will be doing I think unless something else comes up. I know on my way down Matthew would like me to stay for awhile think he is jelous of how much time Michelle had with me LOL. So might stay a week or so there not sure on that yet. So should be home by end of Novemember we will see I guess. Glad to hear you are getting around more and being able to do more Cheryl. Especially the baking yum yum. Bet Jud had a smile on his face when he smelled the pumpkin smell :o) Well talk to you guys later. Love Kathy
I am so thankful for the good reports coming from you! God is faithful. I am keeping you before the throne and trusting God for you healing, Cheryl. I am also enjoying reading the comments from your friends and family. The communion of the saints is so encouraging and uplifting.

Also thankful for the great reports. We included all of you in our adoration prayers on Thursday. Tomorrow is a holiday for all because of the sacrifices of our Veterans.
ReplyDeleteWe need to pray specifically for that pleurX drain. We're waiting for all the reports of complete healing (some call remission). :-) It was great talking with you Cheryl. We're praying for Jud and his parents too.
ReplyDeleteGotta see to the little one. She keeps pulling the barrette out of her hair and then asking to have it put back. Aren't grandchildren great?!
Jud and Cheryl we are very sad to learn about Jud's dad. Our prayers are with you again.
