{Michelle posting!} I'm back at Mom's house to feed & bed down the kiddos. I'm saying quick prayers of thanks that they are both down without a fuss! Mrs. Rachel will be back in a few minutes to babysit again and I'll head back to the hospital.
Mom got to pre-op on time, and the party was raging when I got there around 12:30. Nurses, techs, and all the interns seemed to be stopping by to see what all the laughing and carrying on was about! The surgery before hers ran long, though, and then there's the necessary turnaround time, so they didn't take Mom into the OR until about 3:00. I'm hopeful that by now they are more than halfway through!
Going by Dr Burke's "window" of 3-5 hours, he could be done anywhere between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. If we go by the Mayo Clinic info (4-6 hrs) Dad found online we're looking at 7:00-9:00. Keep praying!
